Wow. Nothing will ever replace the original Iron Fey series, not even this. I literally lived for the moments where Ash, Meghan, and Puck showed up. They were definitely my favorite parts, and I just cannot let those characters go. I never will. Still, even though this can't compare to that series, it is a wonderful book in its own right and I loved loved loved it! It was beautiful. Enchanting. The kind of book that makes you close your eyes and fall into another world. You'd be crazy not to get a copy of this is your hands as soon as is humanly possible. I love these books. I really do. For one thing, they are incredibly addicting. Once I start, I never want to stop. For another, they continue to become better and better and I am almost afraid to see how spectacular the next book will be! I completely adored this installment. With excellent character growth and a beautiful plot, it irrevocably drew me in and didn't let me go until I had finished it in its entirety.

Most of the absolutely awesome things to say about this book have already been said, and yet of course I feel the need to throw my two cents in. This book was awesome, just like everyone says. i mean, it was unbelievably awesome. Aliens are something new and fairly unheard of in YA, except in cases like I Am Number Four, and likely in the last installment of the Across the Universe trilogy. Yet the Lux series is certain to blow them all away. This book was absolutely incredible, and undeniably awesome.

This book deserves to stand out, to have something special and all its own, and I am giving it that. I connected to this book on a more personal level than perhaps I have ever connected to any book in my life. Ordinarily, I don't like reading sad books, but when I heard the heroine had terminal cancer my defenses crumbled. Fortunately, I do not have terminal cancer, but my boyfriend does, and sometimes, as dramatic as it sounds, it is all I can do to avoid falling into a crumbling despair. If I loved Dearly, Departed, Dearly, Beloved was really something else. It was completely unlike anything I've ever read and completely perfect. I fell in love with it from page one and never stopped. It's easily one of the most amazing books that I have ever read and one of my favorites of 2012 for sure. I almost couldn't believe how awesome it was. It literally and completely blew me away—I mean, it was honestly that amazing. Every once in a while I take a chance in bookstores, grab a random book with a gorgeous cover, and read the blurb. If it sounds good, I'll buy it. That's exactly what I did with Illuminate, and I could not have been happier with the results! It far surpassed even my expectations and left me wanting more. It kept me out of the dark but still managed to surprise. Both heartbreaking and terrifying, it irrevocably drew me in and still hasn't let me go. It was absolutely incredible, and it made me ridiculously happy, the in best way possible! Seraphina was easily one of the most amazing books I've ever read. It deserves every single one of the five stars that I have given it. Seriously, it was just…awesome. If I had the words to describe how awesome this book was, I'd happily do so. But there are no English words capable of expressing how truly awesome this book was. I absolutely loved this book. It was not only a wonderful fresh twist on dragons, but it awesome world-building and is seriously unlike any fantasy I've ever read, and I love fantasy.Read my full review of SERAPHINA here.
I didn't wait long to start Pure after finished Half-Blood, and I'm glad I didn't. I loved Half-Blood, but I definitely loved Pure even more. The characters and their relationships developed even more, which was something I never expected to see, even though maybe I should've, and I was pleasantly thrilled with this new development. Pure is definitely a dynamic book. With even more action than the first book and yet important informational development as well, Pure does not suffer from second-book syndrome at all and in fact improves upon the first. Wow. I mean, wow. Just, wow. I was literally speechless after I finished this book. It was completely and utterly amazing and I positively loved it. I was just absolutely blown away. I won't be the first or the last person to make this comparison, but this book is a lot like Inception. The first time you read it, you don't really understand exactly what's going on but you love it anyway because it's that incredible. As time goes on and you read it again and again, it slowly begins to piece itself together, starting to make an increasing amount of sense. Ever took me by surprise. When I started it, I had absolutely no idea what to expect. I didn't know at all what it was about, but once I dove into it I quickly found myself being pulled into its world. I was impressed by the originality of the story, and the characters were deep and people that I had no problem connecting with. It was an incredibly fun and yet emotional read, and I found myself laughing and crying at various points in the novel. I connected to it on a deep level and loved it.
