Blogoversary Day 5!

Hey, loves! It's Day 5 of my blogoversary already! Can you believe that it's going by so quickly? I can't! It still feels like just yesterday by baby was born. And now it's all grown up. It's very wonderful and thrilling and surreal all at once.

Well, yesterday I mentioned all the bloggers that I love. So, naturally today is all about author love! I'm going to be sharing some very sweet messages that I have received from them, and gush about my wonderful interactions with them.

The first author that comes to mind for me is Jessa Russo, because my interaction with her was very recent and it has stayed with me ever since. She wrote the incredible and awesome book Ever, which I absolutely fell in love with. After I wrote my review, she sent me the sweetest message on GR that completely made my day.

Speaking for all bloggers, getting messages like these kind of makes our lives a little bit. I am always so honored when I can speak with an author whose work I love and kind of idolize. It's still thrilling, every single time.

The next person who comes to mind is the awesome person who is Sarah J. Maas. Most of you know about her fabulous debut, Throne of Glass as well as the four spectacular Throne of Glass novellas: The Assassin and the Pirate Lord, The Assassin and the Desert, The Assassin and the Underworld, and The Assassin and the Empire. Well, after reading that book for the first time I definitely starting gushing to her on Twitter. Because it was an amazing book worthy of all my praise.

Well, at some point I discovered her launch party for Throne of Glass was going to be nearby. It wasn't that close, but it was close enough. I knew that I absolutely had to go, so of course I did.

You guys. Sarah RECOGNIZED me. Like, she REMEMBERED me from Twitter. That may be the SINGLE MOST AMAZING EXPERIENCE that I have EVER had with an author or even IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. Here I am, meeting this author whose book skyrocketed past about a hundred others on my favorites to sit prettily near the top, who I practically view as this writing goddess. And she KNOWS WHO I AM. I actually thought it was possible that I might die at the moment.

It is easily considered one of the Top Five Best Things That Has Ever Happened To Me In My Entire Seventeen Years Of Living.

The very first author I ever met, however, was Josephine Angelini, the fantabulous author of Starcrossed and Dreamless as well as the upcoming Goddess. If you think that she is amazing online, that is nothing compared to what she is like in person. She has an absolutely incredible sense of humor, and she's so upbeat and passionate. Josie would ask herself questions and keep the conversation exciting. She's also extremely generous and so much fun to be around.

Meeting her, my first author, was like a dream come true. It was just truly an amazing experience and I honestly could not have had a better first meeting. I was definitely a little tongue-tied and intimidated by she was so sweet and open that it was impossible not to open up!

Another story that really stands out to me involves author Aimee Agresti. She is the author of Illuminate, a book that didn't take much for me to fall in love with it, as well as the upcoming Infatuate. Aimee is the first author I ever asked for an interview, so you can imagine that I was nervous. Extremely, incredibly so. But she was so sweet and nice about it and she basically just made my life! She answered every single one of my interview questions and she was basically just an awesome person.

That's another of my favorite author experiences for obvious reasons. I wasn't sure how it was going to turn out, but I was ultimately totally satisfied! Aimee is one of my favorite authors. Though she writes amazing books, she's also super awesome in other ways as well. Working with her was an incredible privilege and hopefully I can do so again at some point. I enjoyed it that much.

I have so many other wonderful author stories, but I have so save some for another time, don't I? And besides, these four are easily my favorite, so I want the focus on them anyway. I have has such wonderful experiences with authors and at some point I will share them all. But for now, let's just bask in this happiness.

I am, however, going to list the blogs/websites of some of my favorite authors, but only ones I have interacted with at some point. Obviously unless we want to be here for the rest of our lives I cannot list them all, so I'll try to keep the list fairly short.

Uhhh…yeah. That's short enough, guys. I mean, I actually wanted to add so many more people, but really, it's pretty long already for a "concise" list. Very long, actually. But I couldn't help it. I love so many authors and so many of them are awesome and amazing so it's like how could I not mention them, you know? And of course I feel terrible about the people that I was forced to leave out. But that's sadly just how it is.

Really, when you have the time, you should at least check some of these authors out, especially if you haven't heard of them. They're all awesomesauce, so no matter who it is I'm sure it'll be explosive and awesome.
