no need to get that vision checked

it's really a new post!!!

Hello my bloggy peeps!

It's been a while since I've even been inspired to blog, and I've even considered shutting down the blog...but nostalgia always kicks in and makes me decide against it. This blog holds memories for me that would otherwise get lost.

I know that I'll probably be chatting with myself since I no longer scrap and mainly any visits were from fellow scrappers, but that's OK. I'm used to talking to myself...at least it seems that way because my kids don't listen!!!!

Hopefully blogging again will make creativity resurface again.

Life has certainly been really busy with me. I'm still doing the weight loss thingy. (future post on that)
Still involved in Church. Still a busy mommy. (lots more future posts on that) Still love music (lots of new music out to post about as well.) I am still here despite NY & surrounding area being devastated by Sandy. Thankfully, my immediate area didn't get slammed. Though we were prepared because the other storms have left us in the dark, literally.

This past weekend I went to a special conference in Hartford, Ct. I was worried that it would be cancelled because I heard that other parts of CT were hit hard as well.

I went to the Women of Faith conference, and it was all due to one special lady who goes with her mom & sister...and happened to spill the beans that she was going to attend....then invited us. It was a group of us that went and we were all touched in a special way by the speakers, the music (!!!!!!), the whole experience!!! I do hope that we make it a tradition. This was my first time away from my teenyterrors (they were worried about mommy leaving...LOL) and I was nervous, but wow....the speakers there were awesome in their approach, the worship was fabulous, and seeing Sandi Patty, Mandisa (see her dance steps to kick off the morning here!)

&&& Amy Grant singing in person....totally rocked.

This is just some of us, we were in the process of trying to find the rest of our group. One thing I have to say is that the arena was JAM PACKED!!!

I had lots of fun, and got some much needed girl time, bonding with fellow women of faith. I will never forget this weekend. :)
