It's a start of a brand new week!  I have a new layout to show you, because there's a new prompt up at My Paper Tree house! A new forum has been launched there to discuss the prompts, for inspiration, chit chatting....go and check it out.

I absolutely love this photo of my daughter. It was taken the day of her violin recital. She's quit but I have high hopes she'll ask to start lessons up again.

how about a sneak peek? maybe two?

Saturdays are my very favorite days....get to do what I want all in jammies!!! LOL!

there, the cat's outta the bag! I'm in my jammies, my hair pinned up, looking all crazy but oh so comfy!!!

I'm here to show some more sneaks I'm very excited about!

Feb. Scrapgal Kits are going to be all about G45!!! Each DT  member has their own collection to play along with...can ya'll guess which one I got???

I am sooo excited for reveal day.
oh and what the heck...let me show you a sneak of a layout for My Paper Tree House!!! Look around on monday for the reveal/new prompt!!!! :D

Bad days were.....

.......made so that one can apreciate the good ones!

At least this is how I choose to see things.
I know that in my walk, I'm not given a guarantee that things will go perfectly every single time. There will be days (like today!) in which I'll feel like I can't finish off the day, my head pounding, world'a spinning....
these days teach me or remind me not to take a good day for granted. Especially when it comes to my health.
This is where that FOCUS word comes into play again....I was all heartbroken over trivial stuff, and maybe stressing over it is what's causing my headache to come back full force....
The one guarantee I do have is that I'm not alone in this, and I do have some comfort. Bad days are just for a little while, and they make the good days so much sweeter.

Have a great weekend!

recyling or not

:)

do you recycle?

we try to do so at the teenyterrors household. each week our recycling bin goes out filled to the top, we try to find new uses for things, and we try to be smart consumers while using water/electricity. you know, we even donate our clothing? my terrors outgrow their clothes and leave a lot of them in really excellent condition....so we give it to friends who have kids, or we give it to my aunt who works in a shelter/rehab with families. they love when we send them bags because my son leaves his stuff looking brand new.

that said, my scraproom also has recycled items.

my dh made me this cabinet with the recycled frap bottles in mind! they're stuffed with ribbon. :)
behind it, (the green walls) were natural when we bought the house and made the room feel so dark and gloomy. we were thinking of removing them...but then that would be a waste! so we did the next best thing. added some paint. the color was a shock to me at first. for those who have been to my home, you'll see we love earthy tones. not bland at all...but this pretty green is high watt color!
that moulding to the right? it used to be a window...so dh turned it into a book case/shelving to house our dvds and cds.
can't stop showing bits & pieces of my room now....so

these beauties are new, but they hold scraps.

this is where my faves get displayed. this is changing soon...have lots of new layouts to proudly display here using my scrapgal kit! it's above the sofa.

part of the desk unit dh built me...not completed yet. not showing the rest because there's scrapgal stuff all over the top of my desk :P

this is a cabinet that my hubby made me full of scrappy stuff (located in the dining room) my hopes are to take over the whole house with scrappy stuff.

so...here's the end of my mini tour. how do you recycle things?

What's on the Agenda? {AMM}

Hey there bloggy people :)

Yes, I'm back...yes, we have more snow, and yes, it is still SNOWING! :eek!:

I'm a little worried because the kids are in school right now...in all this slushy slippery mess. DH drove me to work today because the jeep is at the dealer getting taken care of and they gave us a mini van as a rental...I need the 4x4!!! LOL!

Anyways, there's a challenge up over at AAM, and the prompt is in this post's title. :) You can take this anyway you want, stick a page out of an actual agenda, or go another route and scrap about what you plan on doing. The sky's the limit, and that's the beauty of this challenge!

So what's on my agenda?

Supplies used: Paper& CS: SEI, letters: Maya Road, Flower: Buzz and Bloom, Butterfly: K&Co
Being in Focus.
My fellow DT ladies made spectacular layouts...check them out :)

Brrr

well, we survived the snow:)
will we survive the cold?
when I got into the car this am, the dash told me it was 11 degrees out. holy moly, that's cold.

what have I been doing to keep busy?
well...I got a layout all packaged up, form printed out...because it was requested for publication! yay!
I was a Gallery fave here!
Got some sneaky peeksies of projects I am working on! Yay!
you won't be able to see this one for ScrapGal in it's entirety until the 1st of the month...I am excited...they have me doing things I never have before!
This layout you'll be able to see on Wednesday! It's for AMM, the topic is a cool one. Hope you come back to check it out and play along. ready to see another sneaky? This layout turned out to be different.................

So my peeps, has any of the CHA sneak peeks caught your eyes? so far I am loving what I've seen. Have  a great weekend! I plan on spending mine scrapping...I'm going to be a busy bee...I need to decorate a church bulletin board, make 2 get well cards for sick members of our Church, finish up DT projects...get a tutorial set up....Maybe the snow showers we've heard announced will motivate me to get 'em done!

Happy Tuesday.

How's the weather like around you? We're under weather advisory, yet again! I'm thinking if we keep getting snow like we're getting (snow once a week so far), people may have to come and shovel us out of it. :O For my area, we're expecting over 12"....So yeah, another snow day. I'm hoping to get some cleaning done, some SCRAPPING done...I have some projects due soon, a generous package full of DT stuff to get cracking on for ScrapGal. Lots of lovelies for me to work on and that's all I can say for now.

So I'm not here just to shoot the breeze, I'm here to show off a beautiful layout...with lots of meaning for me.  Wanna see?

materials used: CS: Co'redinations, PP: Prima, Alpha: American Crafts, Transparencies: Hambly, Pen: uniball signo, butterfly: K&Co

This layout was made with a prompt from My Paper TreeHouse : Who Are You?  Of course my thoughts went straight to being a child of God. I had the perfect photo...a lovey dovey one of my DH & DD. Then these song lyrics popped into my head...

I also used tis week's color combo over at CCG.
Hope you've been inspired to play along. :)

{AAM Challenge #33}

Hi everyone!!! Back as promised....to tell you all about the latest prompt over at AAM.

We've been challenged to use this quote to create something with:

"Though no one can go back and make a brand new start,
anyone can start now and make a brand new ending."

a close up of the journaling....

I knew exactly what I wanted to document...I can't really mention any names, but I know of someone who's going through something relationship-wise...it's in the process of being terminated and I know how this wonderful & special person has fought in trying to make things better: at the point of neglecting what they wanted to make their "spouse" happy...this person is the epitome of strength and grace, even through thse difficult times still thinking unselfishly about the person who has caused them so much heartache.

I just wanted you to know (not sure if you read this or not) that I am sooo very proud of you. I know how hard this is, and that I would give anything for you not to have to have gone through this. I stand behind you in everything you do (and are about to). Do it knowing that you are NOT alone. Ever.

sneaky peak

Hi!

come back tomorrow...there's going to be a new prompt up at AAM!!!!
